    The T Bones . 7th August 1965.

The T Bones were headed by Gary Farr. son of heavyweight boxer Tommy Farr and featured during their existance Vince Weatherall - lead guitar, Andy McKechnie - guitar, Stuart Parks - bass guitar, Andrew Steele - drums. This original lineup played at both the 64 and 65 festivals. The stills below were taken from an archival film that exists of the 1965 show, recorded for the US TV show Shindig but it is not known just how much footage of the set exists.

The T Bones were an exciting act and Gary Farr was an energetic and charismatic frontman who whirled himself and his tambourine around the stage with little concern for the other band members who were left to their own devices to get out of the way of his flailing limbs .

If you have photos, recollections, set lists, newspaper reports  or tapes of the event then Contact me and I'll add them to the site.
