Steampacket: Brian Auger Trinity with Long John Baldry. Julie Driscoll and Rod Stewart.

8th August 1965.

Steampacket were incredibly talented but just never fulfilled their potential . The creation of the towering ( 6 foot 7inches ) Long John Baldry - , they had a brief career before Stewart abandoned ship and the rest of the band moved on to other bands. Most of the other members went on to gain widespread fame and fortune , but Baldry - who was real live wire onstage, never really managed to aspire to the heights of which he was capable . His performance at Windsor was riveting .
Long John Baldry, Vocals , Rod Stewart - harmonica/vocals , Julie Driscoll - vocals ,Brian Auger - organ ,Mick Briggs guitar
Richard Brown - bass guitar
Micky Waller- drums

After their initial set they also played with Eric Burdon and Spencer Davis groups members in the All Star Jam

The stills below were taken from an archival film that exists of the 1965 show, recorded for the US TV show Shindig but it is not known just how much footage of the set exists.
