Friday 12:00pm Stage Three .
I usually look forward to our yearly dose of quality music from the sub-continent , but the main act this year was a great disappointment Dunno what was going on here, when I saw the good Dr in 2001 at Womadelaide, all was spiffy and ingoorediness ( he sounded good ) but this set seemed to lack focus and intensity, rambling and disjointed, it never went anywhere, but I went away after about 20 minutes, I suppose Mavis Staples who had preceded this act was just so damn wondrous that almost anything else would pale into insignificance and this certainly did ....

These are photos that the Old Boll Weevil took of the acts that he witnessed,The Weevil apologises for the occasional fuzziness of the pix , but he borrowed the young Weevilettes camera and was using it for the first time, so was unsure of how well it would respond in dark conditions.
