The Third Ear Band.

     Low key and sometimes mesmeric to the point of inducing trance like states on the part of the audience, Third Ear Band was one of the stalwarts of the free concert scene. Made up of a core of musicians : Paul Minns – oboe ,Glen Sweeney – percussion and Richard Coff – violin and viola, with a floating coterie of other musicians undertaking the cello and supplementary instrumental roles as needed, they were perhaps one of the first " world music " bands , infusing balkan and other musical influences into their compositions.
