9-11th March 2007 .Botanic Park. Adelaide.
Asha Bhosle and The Kronos Quartet
with special guest Wu Man.
Stage One :Sunday 11th March 7:15 pm.
Despite the august nature of this pairing ( both Kronos and Bhosle having formidable reputations ) the end result was slightly less than the sum of its parts .I preferred the Kronos on their own, or with the percussionist and Wu Man . The material that Bhosle played was just too uninspiring for me to warm to much , so the sets highlights for me were at its beginning , rather then its end . Having said that , there were many who were ecstatic at seeing this pairing, especially the Indians in the crowd, of which there were more then a few.
